World Expo Osaka 2025
The cultural programme of the Netherlands Pavilion invites you to take part in a series of Talk Shows that bring together makers from Japan and the Netherlands. Across seven sessions, connected to one the Showcases in the Pavilion, participants come together to reflect on the urgencies of our time — from sustainability and equity to the meaning of progress and the power of tradition.
The Talk Shows create an opportunity and space for conversation, shaped by real projects, contrasting perspectives, but rooted in a shared want to think together. During the conversation, Netherlands-based practitioners will also be invited to present work in a short and focused way—offering glimpses into their current thinking and practice, and grounding the exchange in concrete examples. At the heart of it all is a question: how do we activate common ground, even when we start from different places?
