Garden Futures: Designing with Nature
Garden Futures is an exhibition about the history and future of the modern garden. The garden is back in the spotlight, not only as an idyllic retreat, but also as a testing ground for new ideas and experiments in biodiversity, social justice and a sustainable future.

Built Homecoming: The House of Aldo and Hannie Van Eyck
The house of architects Aldo and Hannie van Eyck in Loenen aan de Vecht is filled to the brim with the books, films, photographs, drawings and works of art that they collected over half a century. A modest part of this collection will be on display at the Research Centre.

GUD Instituut Living Room
The deck is designed to resemble an Indonesian ‘ruang tamu’ or living room. Stories are told from the Indonesian diaspora, about hospitality and collective comfort.

Dutch, More or Less: Contemporary Architecture, Design and Digital Culture
Dutch, More or Less is a presentation of more than 30 years of Dutch design. It brings together the ideas, themes and projects that have placed Dutch designers at the forefront of international design.
Sonneveld House
Sonneveld House is one of the best-preserved homes in the functionalist Nieuwe Bouwen style. In this museum house, you can see how a well-off Rotterdam family lived in the 1930s. A visit to the Sonneveld House Museum is now an even richer experience, thanks to new and exciting sensory elements that you can smell, touch and hear.

Part laboratory, part exhibition space, -1 responds to the urgent need to address critical issues in digital culture, from the rapid advancement of AI and the reemergence of do-it-yourself technology to the inclusion of more diverse and alternative voices in computing.
The New Garden
The New Garden has been part of the outdoor space of the Nieuwe Instituut since 2015. Ecological management and creating a high level of biodiversity are the starting points for its design.
New Store
With the New Store, Nieuwe Instituut imagines a store where shopping helps the environment instead of harming it. After two New Store pop-up stores in Eindhoven and Milan, New Store 3.0 opens in the foyer of the Nieuwe Instituut on 12 December.
