Join us for a Sunday Stroll through The Architecture of Staged Realities on Sunday, 13 February at 2pm. Together with Detour Guide Esmée Dros, we explore Walt Disney's continuing influence on how we live and think.

Parallel to the exhibition The Architecture of Staged Realities, the second event in this series will delve deeper into storytelling, identity and multivocality (multiple voices). With contributions by visual artist Rachel Stella Jenkins, University of Toronto professor Nicholas Sammond, and architecture historian Lara Schrijver. The evening will be moderated by Hasna El Maroudi.

Peek behind the scenes of Walt Disney's movies and discover the wonderful reality of his world of fantasies and fairy-tale castles.

Participants of this TNL! event can discuss the upcoming exhibition _The Architecture of Staged Realities _(opening September 2021 at Het Nieuwe Instituut) with the team behind it: curator Saskia van Stein, spatial designer Frédérique Albert-Bordenave and graphic designer Irene Stracuzzi. The exhibition will explore the impact of Walt Disney's cultural heritage on our identity and built environment.

During the next Sunday Stroll (1 November), detour guide Pia Canales will show us around the exhibition Art on Display 1949-69, which focuses on the way art is presented. Usually, we concentrate on the artworks on show, paying little attention to how they are shown. Together, we will shift the balance.
