As a Circle member, you enjoy a close connection with the Nieuwe Instituut and its board, you act as an ambassador for the Dutch design field and you help make our education and talent programmes a reality.
You will receive invitations for you and a guest to all our openings and to VIP events such as curator-led tours and meet-the-designer evenings, the annual Circle trip, exclusive Circle cocktail parties and behind-the-scenes tours of the National Collection for Dutch Architecture and Urban Planning. Naturally, you and a guest can enjoy free admission to the Nieuwe Instituut and Sonnveld house every day, plus discounts for the café, bookshop and venue hire in the institute.
You can choose from different Circles to support the programme and goals that reflect your own personal passion.
Would you like your contribution to support a specific project, research theme or designer? Then it’s also possible to set up your own Circle. Please contact Bente Spigt to find out more.
As a lover of architecture and urban planning, you value the National Collection of Dutch Architecture and Urban Planning and the Nieuwe Instituut’s mission to preserve it for the future while making it accessible to the public. Your contribution can help the institute to digitise the National Collection, celebrate its 100th anniversary and create a permanent collection display. In addition, Collection Circle membership supports talent-development programmes in the architecture and urban planning fields.
You’re enthusiastic about the future of design and the innovations that bridge the different design disciplines. You believe that it’s important to provide a place for experimentation where ideas and talent can develop. Your contribution will help the Nieuwe Instituut to increase the impact of its co-education programme, provide free exhibition space for the designers of the future in Gallery 3, expand the digital cultural programmes and develop new research laboratories.
You’re a fan of the total architecture of the Sonneveld House museum home, designed by Brinkman & Van der Vlugt in close collaboration with W.H. Gispen. With your contribution, the Nieuwe Instituut can conduct research and add new visitor experiences to the house, such as that by designers Simon Dogger and Hedwich Hooghiemstra for people with visual impairments.
You can become a Circle member of the Nieuwe Instituut for a minimum annual contribution of €3500. For a minimum contribution of €7000, you can join our Circle Leaders. Circle Leaders enjoy exceptional benefits, get a special mention in the annual reports and on the plaque, and can participate in multiple circles or set up their own Circle as desired.
