The theme lines point to urgent lines of inquiry that currently inform research approaches across the different projects undertaken by the research team. In most cases, each research project connects to more than one theme line, providing the opportunity for creative and sometimes unexpected connections across different theme lines to emerge. Theme lines are not exclusionary categories under which individual projects neatly fit, but rather serve as narrative binders.
