SeaWood Materials by BlueBlocks

Seaweed might be the resource of the future and BlueBlocks is ahead of the game with its building panels called SeaWood Materials.

BlueBlocks, founded by Marjanne Cuypers, turns seaweed into the resource of the future, as its advantages are abundant. Seaweed is important for the regeneration of the ocean, it grows fast, and its cultivation is relatively climate-friendly. The SeaWood panel is one of their creations, a board material made from sustainably-cultivated seaweed and tomato stalk fibres. It is a healthy and eco-conscious alternative to traditional building materials. The panels come in a variety of colours and can be used for different interior purposes, such as wall cladding or furniture design.

Price: €37,50 - €62,50

Considering their bio-based nature, the SeaWood panel does not pollute your indoors and even regulates humidity inside, due to fibres in the panels. When they are not needed anymore, the panels can decompose into nutrient-rich compost, completing the circle of life.
