Coffee To-Throw by Fabrikaat, JAF and the ROEM Institute

Coffee to go? No, coffee to-throw! This reusable cup is a circular alternative to disposable ones. It is made from local river clay, pink clay from Java, and beeswax.

The clay is fired at a temperature below 300°C, which barely alters its molecular composition. This means that, unlike ceramic, plastic and paper cups, it can simply be dissolved in water after use. The cup has a water-repellent beeswax coating on the inside, making it ready to go. Once dissolved, the clay can be reused to make other products.

Price: €19,50

Coffee to-throw is an initiative by Fabrikaat, Jatiwangi Art Factory (JAF) and the ROEM Institute. Both Fabrikaat and JAF prioritise sustainability and strengthening community spirit in their work.
