The Metaverse is a place that is susceptible to hacking and the creation of deep fakes in a post-truth world, where trickers use their coded bodies and voices to become a part of the virtual environment. Rotterdam-based interdisciplinary artist, writer and performer Agnes Momirski engages with this phenomenon by exploring a simulation of her own using a collage of audio, film, garments, photogrammetry, 360 videos, performances in the public space, and research texts. The result is the experimental video metaTRIXX shown here, which is also a starting point for Momirski’s residency at –1.
