How do we observe, imagine and embody the world and the weather? Researcher and designer Sophie Dyer and geographer Sasha Engelmann, also known as Open-weather, formed the Feminist Space Agency during a two-day workshop in –1 at Nieuwe Instituut. During the workshop, the Agency built satellite ground stations, deciphered radio signals, and used speculative story telling techniques to produce a series of weather satellite images and captions. Shown on the screen are images from the Space Agency’s first investigation into the noisy relationship between the atmosphere, weather systems and the (human) body.
