Purpose of visit

The press preview of the _Temporary Fashion Museum_ at Het Nieuwe Instituut provides an occasion for a group of Polish fashion journalists and a French journalist/researcher to visit the Netherlands. The party will spend a few days getting to know the Dutch fashion scene at the institute and elsewhere. In Rotterdam, they'll meet the designers Marga Weimans, C.Cruden and Jasna Rokegem and attend shows at the Salonè della Moda, where the talented young Rokegem will be among those displaying their work. Pal Ujvarosi (SE) and Lydian Brunsting (NL), journalists for the international art blog Art Weekenders, will also participate in the Rotterdam programme. In Amsterdam, the journalists will meet people including the designers Karin Vlug, Jacob Kok and Elisa van Joolen and visit Lena, the fashion library. Some guests will attend the opening of the Temporary Fashion Museum on Saturday 12 September.

The Polish journalists' visit is made possible in part by the Netherlands embassy in Warsaw.
