Goal of visit
Part of the reason for his visit to Rotterdam is participation in the discussion and network meeting Technology / Affect / Space 2#: Designing Affect Space at Het Nieuwe Instituut. The meeting discussed the role that the (spatial) design disciplines can play in these complex and highly mutable spaces. The day was organised is partnership with MIT ACT (Art, Culture, Technology) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the LAPS Research Institute in Art and Public Space in Amsterdam and Het Nieuwe Instituut.
Function
Rodrigo Delso Gutiérrez is an architect. He graduated from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid (2012), where he currently teaches and conducts research. He has also studied at the Illinois Institute of Technology (2008) and Goldsmiths, University of London (2013). His ongoing PhD research project entitled ChronoPolis won a prize in the Arquímedes competition (2014) for young researchers in Spain. He is a co-founder of the platform JARD.
