International Visitors Programme
From 21 to 25 October 2019, professor Peter Lunenfeld will visit Cinekid through the Open Call of Het Nieuwe Instituut's International Visitor Programme.
Peter Lunenfeld is part of Cinekid for Professionals, Cinekid's industry event. Lunenfeld will be part of the programme with a keynote on the 2019 theme of 'Hello World', outlining how people shaping children's media have both remarkable opportunities and awesome responsibilities in what they are doing right now.
Peter Lunenfeld is professor and Vice Chair of UCLA's Design | Media Arts department and on the Digital Humanities and Urban Humanities faculties. His alternate, connectionist history of Southern California, City at the Edge of Forever: Los Angeles Beyond the Screen is forthcoming from Viking/Penguin. Other books and projects include Digital_Humanities (co-author, 2012), The Secret War Between Downloading and Uploading (2011), USER (2005), Snap to Grid (2000), The Digital Dialectic (editor, 1999), and the MIT Press Mediawork series. Lunenfeld holds a Ph.D. in Film, Television and New Media from UCLA.
