Katerina Gregos (GR)

Katerina Gregos is a Greek curator, lecturer and writer currently based in Brussels. In summer 2021, she became artistic director of the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST) in Athens, er hometown.

Her curatorial practice has consistently explored the relationship between art, society and politics with a particular focus on questions of democracy, human rights, economy, ecology, crisis and changing global production chains. She regularly publishes on art, artists, society and culture in books, catalogues and periodicals.

As an International Visitor, Gregos was part of the IMPAKT festival 2021: Modern Love, where she curated the festival's main exhibition and the programming of part of the festival's halls. Dedicated meeting moments were organised for professional visitors and students, as well as an exchange event for a small group of Dutch artists/designers and Gregos, and lastly three meeting sessions between Gregos and students of Utrecht School of the Arts, Design Academy Eindhoven and St Joost School of Art and Design.
