Alejandra Celedón Förster (CH)

In November, architect and curator Alejandra Celedón Förster visited Rotterdam for several days and met with several parties involved in architecture in Rotterdam, and at TU Delft and the research department at Het Nieuwe Instituut. She visted the Boijmans Depot, Panorama Mestdag, the Kunstmuseum and the collection and exhibitions at Het Nieuwe Instituut.

About Alejandra Celedón Förster

Alejandra Celedón is an architect and Head Master of the Architecture programme at the School of Architecture, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She graduated at the Universidad de Chile in 2003 and holds a MSc in Advanced Architectural Studies from the Bartlett, UCL (London, UK), 2007 and a PhD at the Architectural Association (London, UK), 2014. She was the curator of Stadium, the Chilean Pavilion at the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale (2018), and co-curator of The Plot: Miracle and Mirage at the 3rd Chicago Architecture Biennial (2019). Her later publications include the book Stadium: A Building to Render the Image of a City (2018), and the following essays: The Chilean School: a room for upbringing and uprising (AA Files, 2020) and Bus-Aula: the school as a political and territorial project (AR/Architecture Research, 2021: The Line: Notes on Politics).
