Research Nights: Remapping Collaborations
Leading up to the London Design Biennale in June 2023, the Working Group organises a public work session, taking place simultaneously in London and Rotterdam, to look into what (international) collaboration within a biennial event means, what is has looked like until now and what it could look like in the future.
11 May 2023 17:00 - 18:30
During the London Design Biennale, the Nieuwe Instituut in collaboration with Creative Industries Fund NL, is bringing together an (inter)national working group to conduct research on issues arising in the theme of this year's Biennale, The Global Game: Remapping Collaborations, and to propose working tools and new ways of working for future international events.
In public work sessions and gatherings the Remapping Collaborations Working Group will reflect on questions raised by past and current biennial models. What does (international) collaboration within a biennial event entail, and what are the interpersonal, institutional and bureaucratic dynamics that enable or hinder international collaboration?
