• Cloud Castles: Buildings are usually made of bricks, concrete and wood. But what if you could build a real cloud castle out of air – or even a secret fart? Using plastic bags, you can create a floating castle of air and let it loose in the world’s only city of fans!
• Body Buildings: Build with your body? Why not? Make the craziest shapes with your arms and with others, like the whole family! Time to warm up in Rotterdam’s most fun gym. Ready, set, GO!
• Skyline: In the middle of the Nieuwe Instituut, a new city is suspended on a line – and you can help build it! Design your own floor and build the city’s newest skyscraper together, a rainbow tree, a bee obstacle course, or whatever you want!
• Butty Building Bar: Build your own sandwich at the Butty Building Bar in the Nieuwe Café. Make a sandwich out of bricks, cement spread or coloured light cables. It’s up to you. Enjoy your meal! First come, first served.
• Future Makers! Visit the children’s exhibition Future Makers! Help design a never-ending flag, create a magical menu and become tomorrow’s climate hero. What are your biggest hopes for the future? Make your voice heard and create your dream world on the third floor.
• And more…. There’s plenty to do for the whole family: a baby corner for the little ones and a rest area for quiet moments in the Studio. Join the Zoöp Quest, or the Family Quest through the exhibition Dutch, More or Less, and top it all off by having your face painted with your own design.

FamilieFest is the most fun family event at the Nieuwe Instituut, and you and your favourite people are invited! Make things you never knew existed, create the coolest worlds and take over the museum. This day is especially for children from 4 to 12 years old and their families!
