Build your building and place it in the wonderous world filled with light. Design it however you would like. Glowing walls or ceilings made out of farts? Everything is allowed in the city of lights.

Buildingmodels (Room 1)

Which building in Rotterdam will you get your photo taken with? Does your entire family join or is it a portrait of you and your building-bestie? Pick your favorite icon and strike a pose.

Windy Building Fun (Gallery 1)

Bring the air to life with your self-made ventilation monster. With your wobbling and waving creation, we will have a dance party in the Nieuwe Instituut. Will you join us?

Protest Parade (Deck)

The future is in your hands. What would you change about it? Join us for the protest and show everyone what you think is important! Design your own protest flag and display it during the Mega Manifestation in the Foyer at 11:00, 13:00 and 15.00 hr.

There is plenty to do for the entire family! There is a baby corner for the smallest in the family and a room for a moment of rest. Pick up the family activity Search for Zoöp (at the reception desk) or the family exploration through the exhibition Dutch, More or Less, visit the children's exhibition Future Makers! and as cherry on top, you can get your face painted.

FamilieFest is an event that takes place at the Nieuwe Instituut during each school break, and you and your family are invited! It is a day filled with educational workshops and fun activities for children from 4-12 years old. Each edition is organised around a theme, such as solar energy or magical realms.
