Edit-a-thon
As part of the REBOOT: Pioneering Digital Art exhibition, Network Archives Design and Digital Culture (NADD), the Nieuwe Instituut and LI-MA are organising an edit-a-thon! Starting with a crash course in ‘Writing for Wikipedia’, followed by collective writing sessions, we set out to create more visibility for media artists. Join us for a guided tour with curator Sanneke Huisman, meet artists from the exhibition and more.
25 November 2023 09:00 - 16:00
Programme
The day kicks off with a crash-course about media art by curator Sanneke Huisman, followed by an explanation about writing for Wikipedia by an expert Wikipedian. Collectively discover how the artists of the exhibition are represented on Wikipedia and discuss what could be improved. After this, the writing begins.
After the lunch, curator Sanneke Huisman takes participants along an exclusive tour through the exhibition, where there will be given space to ask questions about the works and the artists that are a part of it. After getting inspired, the second writing sessions will commence and the entries about the artists will be finished.
The day will be concluded after a conversation with the artists whose work are presented in REBOOT, followed by drinks.
Coffee, tea, water, a delicious lunch, drinks and snacks are all provided by Het Nieuwe Café.
