Anupama Kundoo
Anupama Kundoo combines research, practice and teaching to build architecture far outside of the mainstream and the commercial, developer-driven world. Her practice is based on strong convictions, both theoretical and ideological, that drive her material research, collaborations with local builders and experiments with sustainable working methods.
Kundoo has built extensively in India and worked, researched and taught in a variety of cultural contexts around the world. She taught urban management at TU Berlin and proposed her strategies for a future city for Africa. She is the author of Roger Anger: Research on Beauty/Recherche sur la Beauté, Architecture 1958-2008, published in Berlin by Jovis Verlag in 2009.
