Ugo Arsac spent a year 3D-scanning Paris's hidden underground: catacombs, tunnels, sewers and crypts. In-Urbe maps this invisible labyrinth into a shifting digital landscape for introspection.
Beneath Paris lies a hidden city: a labyrinth of catacombs, metro tunnels, sewers, crypts, and electrical galleries. In-Urbe, is an exploration of this subterranean world that remains largely invisible from the surface. Over the course of a year, Ugo Arsac explored Paris underground, using 3D scanning to map its tangled and inaccessible spaces. These tunnels and hidden architectures beneath the French capital are brought together into a constantly shifting digital landscape functioning as a space for introspection.
