Sonneveld House
Sonneveld House is a museum house and one of the best-preserved homes in the functionalist Nieuwe Bouwen style, built in 1933. Sonneveld House is Nieuwe Instituut's neighbour, located next door on the edge of the Museumpark.
This luxurious villa was specially designed for the Sonneveld family in 1930. Behind the simple, white façade lies a bold, colourful interior, lavishly furnished and decorated with the designs of the time. Inside you can see how a wealthy Rotterdam family lived in the 1930s.
