In the course of _1:1 Period Rooms _the audience was invited to participate in a variety of activties and become involved in a dialogue about the spatial strategies that inform the discourse and representation in museums. The 1:1 model was central to the discussion.

The symposium held on 2 April 2015 that concluded the 1:1 Period Rooms programme focused on the narrative capacity of the 1:1 model and the extent to which - with its at once recognisable and alienating environment - it is capable of inviting the audience to relate to a story or specific question. Which instruments do the 1:1 model offer the exhibition maker?

Interiors on display

Architects and designers still use 1:1 installations to illustrate their thoughts on the relationshiop between architecture, design and the interior. Some of these influential interiors, documentend in the eleventh edition of DASH, were presented to the public during this event on 12 February 2015.
