During the Pavilion Days, Het Nieuwe Instituut is focusing on the research programme it has worked on parallel to the pavilion, with the Cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam and the Creative Industries Fund NL. In this programme, the ecological and social urgencies from Who is We? are connected to the practice of urban policy and research by design. Caroline Nevejan, Chief Science Officer of the City of Amsterdam, developed the international research programme _Values ​​for Survival_ in this context, and the Independent School for the City invited Rotterdam officials to be part of a community of learning called _The Polder of Babel_. Bureau LADA, Failed Architecture and Studio Wild each received a Creative Industries Fund NL grant for studies that led to a magazine, a podcast series and an exhibition in Venice respectively.

All Day Ruben Borges (soil expert), Debra Solomon (artist and Who is We? contributor), and So Young Han (of We Are Here Venice) help you make a chromatogram. This technique has been practised by experts ever since Mikhail Tsvet formulated it in the year 1903. Through the chromatogram, you will gain insight into the composition and current state of the soil in your garden.

09:00 - 11:00 Join us at Ocean Space for the book launch of the _Rights of Nature _compendium - commissioned by the Embassy of the North Sea - and an introduction to the Zoöp model that allows organisations to work with the Rights of Nature in their operational sphere. Zoöp is the title of an organisational model for cooperation between humans and non-human life that safeguards the interests of all _zoë _(the Greek word for 'life'). The Zoöp model - developed by Het Nieuwe Instituut in collaboration with many others - makes the interests of non-human life part of organisational decision making.

Daphina Misiedjan (NL), Jessica den Outer (NL), Laura Burgers (NL), Klaas Kuitenbrouwer (NL), Shrishtee Bajpai (BD) and Justin Sobion (NZ) discuss the relationship between different indigenous worldviews and their tactics for implementing legal status for non-human life.

17:30 - 10:00 The Green Triangle, a project by We Are Here Venice and Debra Solomon, applies processes already used in the Bijlmer in Amsterdam (NL) to the Venetian context. With a community of practice consisting of people living in the neighbourhood, the area is being prepared for use as a food forest.

09:00 - 11:00 Who is We? addresses the underlying assumptions and ecological and social implications of architecture and urbanism. How does this agenda resonate within the practice of everyday policy making and city building in the Netherlands and Venice? How to implement the new values, perspectives, methodologies and languages necessary for the design of inclusive, just and resilient cities? What are examples that work well?

Together with Caroline Nevejan (Chief Science Officer Amsterdam), Mike Emmerik and Simone Rots (Independent School for the City), Jane da Mosto (We Are Here Venice) and the public, we will discuss what to learn and unlearn and share good practices. As part of the event, the recently published book BiodiverCITY. A Matter of Vital Soil! will be presented by Joyce van den Berg and Alessandra Riccetti (both part of the editorial team, City of Amsterdam). This conversation will be moderated by Francien van Westrenen, curator of _Who is We? _and head of the Agency department at Het Nieuwe Instituut.

15:00 - 16:00 Public launch of the Zoöp Manifesto and the Zoöp legal framework. The official documents for founding Zoöps are offered to representatives of various Dutch and Italian proto-Zoöps.

17:00 - 19:00 To promote and contribute to knowledge and the development of research in the fields of architecture and urbanism, Het Nieuwe Instituut and the Creative Industries Fund NL organised an open call around the themes addressed in the Dutch pavilion. Three design-research proposals were selected. The chosen teams share their findings in this event.

At the intersection of environmental science, architecture and humanities, the research project and magazine Shallow Waters (Bureau LADA) explore two extreme cases of urban deltas. The video series _Stories on Earth _(Failed Architecture) brings together storytelling and design to challenge the spatial settings that pit humanity against nature. The installation The Forbidden Garden of Europe (Studio Wild) highlights the ties linking ecology and politics through the voices and bodies of invasive plants.

Syb Groeneveld, director of Creative Industries Fund NL, will introduce the open call in relation to the work of the fund.
