Opening Open Space 2024
From half February five emerging makers showcase their work in the free presentation space Gallery 3, on the 3rd floor of the Nieuwe Instituut. In Open Space, Chaeeun Lee, Hussein Shikha, Simon Bultynck, Ilaria Palmieri, and Luc Weytingh have free rein to each fill one corridor during this period. Join the artists and designers to celebrate the joint opening of their new exhibitions.

Programme
- 17.00: Doors open
- 18.30 – 19.00: Words of welcome by Flora van Gaalen, Nieuwe Instituut's Head of Programme, and introduction at Nieuwe Café.
- 19.00 – 22.00: Exhibitions Gallery 3 open en drinks in the Nieuwe Café
Entry is free and no registration is needed.
Open Space
As of 2023, for a few months a year, Nieuwe Instituut will reserve the corridors of Gallery 3 for new talent. As part of this initiative, called Open Space, five up-and-coming makers are given free rein to each fill a corridor during the period of February until June.
