In 2023, fashion designer Joline Jolink moved from Rotterdam to the countryside and started her Fashion Farm, a sustainable fashion initiative where visitors can see how the clothes are made in an environmentally friendly way. Jolink is part of a new movement of fashion professionals moving to the countryside to combine fashion and agriculture. In conversation with Rachid Naas, Jolink talks about her daily work on the farm.

New Store has started a collaboration with designer Iris Veentjer, with the support of the municipality of Rotterdam. During this first product drop in the foyer of the Nieuwe Instituut, Iris will present her Undergarten prototype: biodegradable cotton underwear, including elasticity. Your feedback during the evening will help to further develop this product, which will be available in the New Store at the end of 2025.

Product drops showcase new products that we are introducing to the New Store’s shelves.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Circular Economy Week, Fibershed is organizing this inspiring program in collaboration with leading textile entrepreneurs and partners. Future Textile is for anyone curious about how textiles and clothing are made, which natural materials can be used, and the techniques and craftsmanship involved.
