Designing Digital Futures: Ghana × Netherlands
Limbo Museum and Nieuwe Instituut co-create a public event in Accra during Culture Week. This event explores how artists, designers, and technologists in Ghana and the Netherlands are creating new pathways for digital creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange.

The event brings together creative voices in Ghana's digital scene with artists from -1, the digital lab of the Nieuwe Instituut. Participating artists include David Alabo, Karim Fouad, Linda Dounia, Ohemeng Oware Jr., Sondi, Tracy Thompson and Yotam Sion & Erez Levanon. The goal is to promote intercultural exchange, share best practices, and build sustainable networks that can lead to future digital collaborations between creators in Ghana and the Netherlands.

Overview:
The session brings together voices from Accra and Rotterdam, uniting institutions, policymakers, and cultural innovators in a conversation about shared infrastructures and collective futures. It invites reflection on how both contexts can reimagine digital collaboration as a space for exchange, sustainability and new creative possibility.
15:00 – 16:00 | Session 2: Context as Code: Building Digital Culture
Overview:
This session explores the evolving landscape of digital culture across Accra, Rotterdam, and beyond. Framed as a dialogue with participating Ghanaian exhibitors, it considers how local contexts shape artistic experimentation, digital infrastructures, and emerging forms of cultural production.
