Nieuwe Instituut is the national heritage institution for designers and the wider public interested in architecture, design and digital culture. The institute manages the National Collection for Dutch Architecture and Urban Planning, initiates research and organises exhibitions, lectures and debates in the Netherlands and abroad. The Marketing & Communications department

Relationship management is part of the Marketing & Communications department, which focuses on building and maintaining awareness of the institute so as to ensure its desired reputation and participation in its activities. Within the department, relationship management develops a range of activities aimed at expanding the network. It connects the various design fields with initiatives such as the Members network, Studio Visits, networking drinks and travel.

Who are we looking for?

  • Educated to HBO / WO level, preferably in culture, communication, media or journalism
  • Interest in culture, preferably in architecture, design and digital culture
  • Flexible, independent, organised, sociable and open-minded
  • Excellent command of Dutch and good command of English (due to various editing activities)
  • Knowledge / experience of Mailchimp, Eventbrite, Photoshop, etc., would be an advantage
  • Someone who enjoys taking on tasks involving event production, organisation, administration and communication.

What do we offer?

An inspiring environment in which to gain work experience, get acquainted with new ways of working and expand your network. During your internship you will learn about (online) communication and relationship management. You can produce events yourself, test ideas and, of course, gain experience at a national cultural institution. Reimbursement for the internship is 250 euros gross per month for 5 days, including a travel allowance for commuting. The minimum period of the internship is 4 to 6 months, minimum 3 days per week.
