SummerWorkWeeks: Redesign!

What would a reading lamp look like if it could tell stories? Or how about a backpack that thinks along with you? In this workshop, you become a designer and create a new version of an everyday object.

22 July 2026 10:00 - 14:00

The workshop will be led by Giovanni Maisto Ferreira. Photo: Isa de Jong.

You could give a familiar item a surprising function, or make it smarter, more fun, or more convenient. By doing this, you’ll discover how designers employ creativity and imagination to shape the world around us. Using simple materials, you can let your imagination run wild.

You can drop in any time between 12:00 and 15:30 (finishing at 16:00), or sign up in advance and choose a time slot.

Suitable for children aged 6 to 12 | Language: Dutch/English | Location: Nieuwe Instituut | Free admission
