Please note that the workshops are in Dutch.

  • Part 1: Thursday 13 February, 11:00-12:30, Trompenburg Garden & Arboretum: Germination and Growth.

Immerse yourself in the magic of sowing! We will explore the fascinating world of seeds and reveal the secrets of light and dark germinators. You’ll learn about germination times and get useful tips for successful sowing at home. You’ll sow a variety of annuals to take home with you.

  • Part 2: Thursday 13 March, 19:30-21:00, Nieuwe Instituut: From a Seedling to a Beautiful Plant.

A few weeks later, when the seeds have grown into small plants, we will take you through the process of pricking out. You will discover which types of compost work best, learn how to prevent root damage and what the right time is to prick out. Then all you have to do is wait until you can enjoy your home-grown annuals in your garden or on your balcony.
