The World Around
As the planet faces a climate emergency, the need for progressive, global and interdisciplinary ideas to rethink and reimagine our world has never been more urgent. The World Around Summit, on 5 February 2022, invites visitors to meet contemporary architecture and design's now, near and next, with invited speakers from all over the world speaking to their recent and under-construction projects in the field of spatial and environmental practice, examining cutting edge ideas, critical thinking and visionary new work, technology and research.

The World Around 2022 Summit takes place at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City on Saturday 5 February and will be broadcast online for free. Registrations are open now at theworldaround.com.
Programme
At the conference, global design practitioners will address their recently completed and under construction projects that speak to internationally pressing issues including climate change, racial and social equity, ecology, indigenous rights, digital technology and community.

The World Around Rotterdam
Later in 2022, on 11 June, The World Around will be in residence at the Het Nieuwe Instituut where they will be creating a bespoke new capsule programme as part of Rotterdam Architecture Month. Subscribe to The World Around's newsletter to stay up to date.
The World Around's 2022 Summit will be a round-up of compelling architectural, spatial, environmental and social projects from the last year. Limited in-person tickets will be available for both venues and a live-broadcast will stream online for free on multiple channels, including Dezeen. The Summit is co-produced by The World Around, Guggenheim and Het Nieuwe Instituut and tickets are available to attend in person in New York or watch and participate online via livestream.
