Designing patterns is the core of Christie van der Haak's (1952) work. The complex, hand-made patterns repeat every 60 centimetres. They can be printed as wallpaper or woven as furnishing fabrics or, as shown here, woven on a jacquard loom to create large tapestries. These tapestries were woven at the Textielmuseum Tilburg and at FlandersTapestries in Belgium.
