Two in one: from Beach Towel to Sarong

When the weather is good, sun worshippers mark their territory on the beach with countless towels. During this workshop, participants will make a beach towel that can also function as a sarong or a cool surf hoodie. On Sunday 24 July 2016 create a multifunctional item for lying on the beach or parading on the boardwalk.
This summer's Rio Olympics are the inspiration for Het Nieuwe Instituut's programme about the improvement, mastery and protection of the body. In keeping with this theme, in the coming months The New Haberdashery is focussing on those garments that are closest to the body: underwear, swimwear and sports clothing, with basic patterns for men, women and children.
