Swan Market / Material Market

6 April 2015 12:00 - 17:00

Coinciding with the creative lifestyle Swan Market in the Museumpark, Het Nieuwe Instituut hosted another Material Market on Easter Monday, 6 April 2015. The focus this time was on the familiar material plastic. Visitors had a chance to try out 3D printers and 3D printing pens.

The _Perpetual Plastic Project _from Rotterdam was on view on the outdoor deck of Het Nieuwe Instituut. It recycled plastic beakers by turning them into new, 3D-printed objects. In addition, visitors were able to spend the whole afternoon drawing with the 3D printing pen, which releases fluid plastic and allows you to draw in three dimensions with plastic.

Easter Monday was also the final opportunity to visit the exhibition PLASTIC: Promises of a Home-Made Future in Gallery 2 of Het Nieuwe Instituut.
