School for the Apocalypse
This year as a part of the celebration of the centenary of the Bauhaus; a codification of 'the modern' in a pedagogy that could produce the new world, the School for the Apocalypse will explore what the curriculum for post-human living and design could be in our current era.

The School invites practitioners, artists and thinkers to "join the search for building blocks that could make up a 'curriculum' for the 'Anthropocene'. Or to be more precise, to explore how to live, learn, and die in the 'Anthropocene'."
"In three sessions during the summer, together we will search for practices, institutions, artifacts, and pedagogies that (re)connect us to our present environment in meaningful ways. We will jointly develop a broader framework of thought, engagement, and action, which will eventually translate into a series of societal and artistic interventions performed by students at the Summer School for the Apocalypse in September."
Session dates
The first session ('Dying'), will explore the interaction between art, death, and the ending of our current mode of being. "It will revolve around the question: 'what needs to die'? It will focus on technology, decolonizing the mind, and re-conceptualizing the 'end'."

In the second session ('Learning'), we explore 'worlding' and 're-worlding'; "how collective action, art, architecture, design, and ecological interventions can create 'learning spaces', which allow us to 're-world' our contemporary era."

The third session ('Living'), will "develop platforms in which living becomes an encounter of 'becomings'. What are the building blocks for transforming our mode of being to multi-species muddles?"

Three-day Summer School for the Apocalypse
During the three-day Apocalypse Camp, students will implement the findings of the School for the Apocalypse.
