During Architecture Day, the Urban Guides will lead you through Sonneveld House. This freestanding villa was designed in 1933 by the architecture practice Brinkman & Van der Vlugt for Albertus Sonneveld, one of the directors of the Van Nelle Factory. The house is light and spacious, in keeping with the modernist ideals of the time, with streamlined furniture and large windows offering views of the surrounding garden. During the tour, your guide will talk about the history of the house and will point out interesting details. The tours are part of the Architecture Day programme and made possible by Urban Guides and Het Nieuwe Instituut.

The guided tour at the Sonneveld House will be continuous between 12.00 and 16.30 on both days. Starting point of the guided tours will be the Architecture Day information desk in the foyer of Het Nieuwe Instituut.

This event is part of the Rotterdam Architecture Month 2018 programme and Architecture Day.
