Young NVTL Debate: A Palm Tree in the Polder
Young NVTL is organising an evening debate with a focus on the integration of non-native trees in landscape design. A panel of experts will lead the discussion, addressing important considerations such as ecological impact and aesthetic integrity. The evening provides an active and engaging exploration of the challenges and opportunities that climate change presents in shaping our natural environment.
5 June 2024 17:30 - 19:00
As climate change challenges traditional approaches to planting, the debate about whether exotic trees should play a more prominent role is intensifying. Our panel of experts will lead a thought-provoking discussion on the delicate balance between ecological conservation, climate adaptation and the artistic integrity of landscape design.
During this enlightening evening at the intersection of environmental sustainability and artistic vision in contemporary landscape design, the audience will be given space to actively participate in the discussion and make a valuable contribution to understanding the complexities inherent in sustainable landscape practices.
