Furry art is everywhere, from ancient legends to video games. Over the last 20 years, its appreciation has exploded and a furry fandom has emerged. Fans continue the tradition with drawings, dance, costumes, virtual reality, and the creation of personal characters: fursonas.

Furries, or fans of anthropomorphised animals and zoomorphic human, are a global online phenomenon. This conference marks the beginning of the legitimisation of furry studies as a new field of research, and aims to promote global and interdisciplinary collaboration between furry scholars and fans.
