Auditorium Shop without guilt in Het Nieuwe Instituut's night shop! You too can win a drawing by a famous architect. Use imaginary money to bid for the most impressive pieces from the State Collection for Dutch Architecture and Urban Planning or one of the other unrivalled auction items. Auction master Marcel Brouwer from auction house Vendu, known from the TV programme Tussen Kunst en Kitsch (Between Art and Kitsch), will conduct this exciting battle for the best examples.

Het Nieuwe Café Create your own chair in Het Nieuwe Café. During Rotterdam Museum Night, the café celebrates the centenary of the Bauhaus with Bouwhouse, in which the public can rebuild the café to their heart's desire using cubes. Accompanied by cocktails with ice cubes and stackable snacks!

Gallery 1 The Netherlands does not have a national design archive. As a result, much valuable knowledge about Dutch design and many source materials, sketches, colour studies and prototypes are currently being lost. With the Speculative Design Archive, Het Nieuwe Instituut is exploring what such an archive for design and digital culture might look like. Who will preserve these objects for the future? And which objects should be preserved? And why and how? Which masterpieces are spread across the country? What is the value of forgotten treasures? Who will contribute to this discussion?

Gallery 2 Discover how a nondescript space full of lockers provides access to a great variety of presentations, from a remake of John Lennon's and Yoko Ono's bed in the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam to a new interpretation of Constant's New Babylon and the invisible Indian labour behind Western architectural practice. The official Dutch contribution to the 2018 Architecture Biennale is now on display at Het Nieuwe Instituut.

Gallery 3 According to the jury, Alessandra Covini, the winner of the _2018 Prix de Rome for Architecture_, designed 'a refreshing plan that proposes new forms of public spaces, and which exudes pleasure, positive energy and humour'. The four nominees for the oldest and most generous Dutch prize for architects under 35 are presenting their final assignment at Het Nieuwe Instituut: a design for the Sixhaven area in Amsterdam.
