Museum Night Ready? Set, Go!
8 March 2014 20:00 - 9 March 2014 01:00
Specially for Museum Night, six life-size sets inspired by the exhibition 1:1 Sets for Erwin Olaf will be built beneath the arcade of Het Nieuwe Instituut. Each of the six sets presents a particular 'individual' in a specific world, and all sets are assembled from waste material, new material and renewed material.
Rotterdam talents will have an opportunity to furnish the sets and to programme them in collaboration with a Rotterdam set builder and recent graduate in Lifestyle & Design from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
The flexible sets will change appearance during the evening and are programmed alternately. There will be something to do in each set, but every hour one set will be literally highlighted with both illumination and music.
Check the website regularly for Museum Night programme updates and to follow the progress of Tracking Traces. During Museum Night, two installations will present the results of research by two groups of designers into Museumpark and the activities of the institutes located around the park.
