MacGuffin magazine Nº 5 The Cabinet
Issue number 5 of MacGuffin magazine, entitled 'The Cabinet', opens up the curious life of the cabinet, where intimate stories are hidden away, kept and inevitably shown. The launch took place on 14 December 2017 in Het Nieuwe Instituut, where the exhibition 'Finders Keepers' is currently on show. This issue features an essay written for this exhibition by Sam Jacob entitled 'Life amongst Things' and Johannes Schwartz and Miti Aiello look at the phenomenon of self storage.

_MacGuffin_ is a six-monthly, thematic magazine that concentrates on the use of design. It explores the context in which objects function, the relationships they establish and the role of 'no name design'.
As curator of the exhibition Finders Keepers, MacGuffin reveals the universe of the collector through hundreds of objects borrowed from dozens of collections, exploring collectors' varied motives and strategies, and the hidden life of things.
MacGuffin is available from NAi Booksellers and all good bookshops. This launch is organised in partnership with NAi Booksellers.
