Keynote by Design Practice Space Popular
The London-based design practice Space Popular (Lara Lesmes and Fredrik Hellberg) explores the future of spatial experiences at the intersection of architecture, research, design and art. In this lecture, Lesmes and Hellberg will discuss several of their design projects, with a particular focus on the Collection Gallery they designed for the Nieuwe Instituut.

Collection Gallery
This interactive, hybrid installation, which opened earlier this year, uses physical models and drawings to guide visitors on a digital journey of discovery through the architecture collection of the Nieuwe Instituut. Space Popular created the overarching concept, spatial design and interaction design.
Visitors can browse drawings, photos of models, videos, clippings, quotes, prototypes, photo albums and animations. By navigating the various layers and connections, from interior to landscape design, the gallery reveals the many ways in which design shapes the built environment.
Closing event JBSC Conference
This lecture concludes (IM)MATERIAL, the thirteenth conference of the Jaap Bakema Study Centre, taking place on 18 and 19 November.
