Level Up and Nieuwe Instituut are inviting recent and soon-to-be graduates this one-day event featuring talks from artists, designers, curators and collectors, as well as interactive workshops and networking sessions with professionals. The event will explore key aspects of entrepreneurship in the arts and provide participants with valuable career tools.

10:30 Curator Talk: Amanda Pinatih
Learn about the curator’s viewpoing from Amanda Pinatih, Curator of Design and Contemporary Art at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. She explores innovative perspectives at the intersection of design and art, presenting them in contemporary, accessible ways. This year she is also curating the Dutch Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, where she will present her vision on an international scale.
11:15 Collector Talk: Bob van Eerd
Get a new perspective on the art market — from the viewpoint of a collector. Clinical psychologist and psychotherapist Bob van Eerd has built an impressive art collection with his wife over the years. It includes pieces by emerging and established artists from the Netherlands and abroad, including Marc Mulders, Claudy Jongstra and Kalliopi Lemos. Bob shares his keen understanding of the art market and how it evolves.

There are three consecutive rounds of 60 minutes: you can choose each round whether to join a workshop or speed-date session. If you opt to join only two rounds, you can also visit one of the exhibitions at the Nieuwe Instituut.
16:30 Artist Talk: Audrey Large
Audrey Large offers professional insights, practical tips, and personal highs and lows. Audrey Large graduated from the Dutch Design Academy with a Masters in Social Design in 2017 with her project Life.VFX, which grew out of an investigation into visual effects. Don't miss her work in the exhibition Dutch, More or Less, about contemporary digital culture, design and architecture.

The day concludes with drinks, where you can share the knowledge you have gained and start building your professional network. Blank business cards will be provided to help you stay in touch after the event.
