Kunstbende Expo and Fashion 2021 Preliminary Round
Every year Kunstbende invites young people with a passion for the arts to develop their talent and show off their skills on a big stage. Kunstbende starts with a programme of workshops and coaching and culminates in competitions, first regionally and then nationally. This year, Gallery 3 at Het Nieuwe Instituut will host the preliminary round of Kunstbende Zuid-Holland in the Expo category for exhibited work and in the Fashion category.

On 10 July, participants in the preliminary round in the province of Zuid-Holland will present their work and discuss it with moderator Kay Slice and jury members Pleun Greken, Yvo van der Vat and Marina Heuvelman. The event will be streamed live on 10 July from 13:00 to 14:30 at kunstbende.nl/zuid-holland-live.
Kunstbende
Kunstbende is a platform for young people aged between 13 and 18 to develop in nine creative disciplines: Dance, DJ, Expo, Fashion, Film, Influencer, Music, Words and Theatre. This networking organisation discovers creative young talent, helps them to develop, and provides them with a stage. The Kunstbende competition encourages young people to find and develop their own talents at an early age.
Education at Het Nieuwe Instituut
Het Nieuwe Instituut runs a variety of educational programmes to introduce children and young people to design. They learn that everything around them is designed, experiment with new techniques themselves, and develop key skills such as creativity, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
