The day kicks off with the keynote How to Do Business in America by Shana Dressler, co-founder of the NYC Innovation Collective followed by an afternoon programme of workshops and talks where you can learn more about entering into international cooperation in America, and the available financing options.
There is also the possibility to participate in a speedate session with consultants from DutchCulture, the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland and Het Nieuwe Instituut. RVO business coaches will advise you on the possibilities and risks for doing business in the United States. Renske Ebbers (DutchCulture) and Willemijn Brakenhoff (Het Nieuwe Instituut) will show you the available financing possibilities and give you practical tips to realise your projects.

How does business work in America? What characterizes American business interactions? And what kind of research do you need to do before reaching out to potential buyers? During the morning kickoff, Shana Dressler, former Executive Director of 30 Weeks (Google incubator for design entrepreneurs) and now running a creative leadership consultancy called Turquoise, will tell you more about how to expand your business and product lines into the American market starting with perhaps the toughest city - New York.
The keynote is part of the two-day workshop Preparing To Do Business in America, organised by Organisation in Design. The workshop aims to prepare the selected designer for the third edition of Ventura New York - the Dutch edition at NYCxDESIGN.
