Happy Senior Living
On March 26, the Jaap Bakema Study Centre in collaboration with TU Eindhoven and TU Delft is hosting an afternoon devoted to innovative living concepts for seniors. With Floris Alkemade, Dick van Gameren, and Ioulia Ossokina, among others.
26 March 2018 14:00 - 18:00
This symposium is the closing event of a joint research programme by TU Eindhoven and TU Delft supported by 4TU. The two universities jointly built decision support tools to support municipalities and developers in developing the best living concepts for seniors. This is based on scientific research and in collaboration between architects and social scientists. In 2040, one in four Dutch people will be over 65. This makes 5 million seniors. The government expects that 44 thousand homes will have to be added to this group every year. The tools developed would ensure that these homes can meet the desires of the seniors as much as possible.
The symposium brings together scientific research and best practices. The target groups are provinces and municipalities, architects and developers, care providers, housing corporations and others who are working on innovative living (care) concepts for seniors.
