Happy Industry
Happy Industry is a temporary settlement from 12 to 14 September in the Museumpark, with a raw casting shed with a primitive workshop at the center. The festival celebrates the rough industry in an era of computer-controlled production and will thus return to the origin of making.

Casting, melting, forging: the artists Peter Rogiers, Rossella Biscotti, Frederik Molenschot, Atelier Van Lieshout and others will experiment for three days with production processes. During the Happy Industry event Het Nieuwe Instituut is organising a talkshow, childrens's workshops and artist talks.

My Industry | workshops for children (6-12)
In this continuous workshop children work with an artist to build a fantasy city made entirely of plastic.

Happy Industry? | talkshow
Het Nieuwe Instituut presents the 'Happy Industry?' talk show, bringing together artists, researchers and opinion leaders during the Happy Industry event to discuss weighty matters in a light-hearted manner.
