Green Resolutions: The Rotterdam Garden of the Future
New year, new possibilities! What ‘green resolutions’ have the people of Rotterdam made? Will you finally remove that paving this year, adopt a plant (and keep it alive) or get involved in the community garden? We invite you to share your resolutions and to think about what gardens are and what they do.
22 January 2025 19:00 - 21:30
How do we see gardens here in Rotterdam throughout history? What is the added value of native plants? Are ‘exotics’ really unwelcome? And how do you decolonise a garden? In Arminius, we will discuss these questions with Mara de Pater of Drift, city doctor Rini Biemans and artist Yoeri Guépin, under the guidance of moderator Najah Aouaki.
This is a programme by Nieuwe Instituut and Debatpodium Arminius.
