Golden Joinery is an initiative of fashion designer Saskia van Drimmelen and director Margreet Sweerts. Together they form the basis of the hybrid fashion collective Painted. Inspired by the age-old Japanese repair technique Kintsugi, in which broken porcelain is glued together with gold, participants make jewels with the damaged clothing they have brought along.
