Secret Garden Stories

For Garden Futures, Aisha Plein, founder of the Inclusieve Kinderboekenclub [Inclusive Children’s Book Club], is organising a morning of stories from books for children and young people that are related to the exhibition. This will be followed by a fun workshop.

The Inclusieve Kinderboekenclub [Inclusive Children’s Book Club] is a platform devoted to books for children and young people that highlight diversity and inclusion in the broadest sense. In collaboration with the Nieuwe Instituut, this children’s book club will be held four times during the exhibition Garden Futures.

Secret Garden Stories will take place on 16 February and 23 March. Aisha will read from two new books each month, followed by a workshop tied to the theme of that edition.

  • 10:00 - 10:30 Story time in the exhibition Garden Futures
  • 10:30 - 12:30 Workshop in the Studio (first floor)

Please note: young children must be accompanied by an adult.

Garden Futures

This programme is part of the series of events around Garden Futures. The exhibition was developed in collaboration with the Vitra Design Museum and the Wüstenrot Foundation. The exhibition was previously on display at Vitra in Weil am Rhein in Germany. For a full overview of events, see the activities page.
