Explore the world of fungi during FamilieFest: Fun(gi)festation. A day filled with workshops about mushrooms, mold and everything that grows and connects above and below ground. Design fungi worlds and experiment with shape, sound and materials. The entire family can join to discover how fungi connect, transform and inspire.

- Mold the World: use your fantasy and help build a fungi world, made out of mushrooms, fungi and root networks.
- Fungi Fashion: gather inspiration from the shapes and textures of different fungi and create your own funky fashion items.
- Truffle Treasure Hunt: search for hidden treasures from the exhibition FUNGI and explore that various spaces in the Nieuwe Instituut.
- Moldy Melodies: during this fungi concert you can discover how sound, frequency and atmosphere are connected to the invisible world of fungi and mycelium.
- The Great NetWork: a collective project where you help create a growing tapestry using repurposed materials.

FamilieFest is an event that takes place during the school holidays at the Nieuwe Instituut, and you and your family are invited! It’s a day full of educational workshops and fun activities for children aged 4 to 12. Each edition focuses on architecture, design or digital culture.
